most important: ctrl+x and ctrl+c don't cut/copy the file (as in assigning the file to clipboard when "copying" it in windows explorer). If not change ctrl+c behavior to this atleast an option would be great :)
GUI:
I'd like the _ v x buttons on the menubar (tabbar hidden) to be hidden if not using tabs and/or when only one tab or an option for that.
And when not hidden I'd like the menubar to be forced to one line.
And if I scale the window width to less than width of menubar + mb buttons I think it'd be sane if the mb buttons went over the menubar since if I'd want to access info, window etc (from right) I could either scale the window up for a moment or you could provide a dropdown '>>' or '...' button to list the hidden menubar items.
I use XnView mainly for referencing while 3d modelling so I want to be able to really optimise the desktop space.
Also I think it's a vital option to be able to disable the menubar.
(maybe you don't like being referenced to it but) acdsee has the menuitems on the rightclick menu which is great. (you could even make it one expanding folder item in that menu called "menu (bar)" if you don't like cramming the rightclick menu.
If the images width is less than menubar width I think sizing window to image should take precedence over showing complete menubar (or atleast give option).
And please make the options for windows/image size fitting a bit more modular (let user chose from checkboxes?).. and the names of the different alternatives are really hard to figure out what they'll do. I'm always confused and have to try every one of them to find "adjust window size to image" which seems to be named "Fit image to desktop, large only"...??
Then the XnView logo icon on the menu bar has an opaque background while the titlebar icon doesn't? (tough they're both the same in function so perhaps it's a bug from using the winfce 1.1 msstyle theme (hacked uxtheme.dll (if you want to try it (very nice) use the "universal uxtheme patcher")).. don't know if that's why) if it should be there - isn't it sort of redundant?
It's mostly nitpicking which proves you're doing a great job. Thanks!

- Option to suppress scrollbar (non-fullscreen)?
- Options to specify what to show/hide in Viewer/Browser mode
- Hide Menu Bar
I guess this has to do with the way Windows XP's visual styles work. Take a look at these screenshots of XnView:nim wrote:Then the XnView logo icon on the menu bar has an opaque background while the titlebar icon doesn't?
