It's strange, witch xnview and windows version do you have ?
Is the "/" keybord key (fit to screen ) works for you, or it's only the hotkey "*" original size ?

I don't know why too, but if any hotkeys works, maybe you have a problem of windows configuration or virus or malwares ????
or try the xnview setup.install ( not the zip file) because usualy xnview is installed here by default:
C:\Program Files\XnView
and not here
D:\XnView

Hope you're using "Numpad *", right? Is "Numpad /" working? It's not clear from your reply. What about Numpad + / -?

Just a remark

:) Hello !

• Just a remark : Under Vista, it's certainly much better to install any soft like D:\XnView
rather than in the damned “Program Files”, which has access restrictions the hell !

• For example, the author of Total Commander has restored that kind of location in the root because a mountain of issues
when installing¦running¦updating the programme…

- Just my 0.10 €…

Delete "Pocket.xnp" plugin in "C:\Program Files\XnView\AddOn" and RAPI.DLL and this error should go away.
