Transparency
Hi all,
I'm new in the group and hope for help. In the editing-programm I used before I had a FILTER who produced different ways of transparency in a picture, i.e. from left to right, from the middle to all sides of the picture, in waves and so on.
Do we have this in Xnview?

Markers…
—> Barbara Heger
Hello Barbara !
- This is only text, and very similar to the HTML markers, except that BB-Code is simplified
and uses square-brackets […] instead of angle-brackets <…>.
- In the edit window (when you write any message), they are available from the tool-bar under the upper title-field.
Example : shall render “blah blah” as bold. Only select the string, then press the B button, and the trick is played !
- Same for the others I and U…
- There are too codes as text for the smileys you can add (displayed on the left-side board) etc.
- Personally, I've a HTML (free) editor able to write BB-Code too (useful for very big messages)
with its embedded stuff (from a menu), or better with a profile-patch I made myself…

• This is the set of markers used in the fora to choose the text-style in the messages you type.…Question: what is a BBCode, please?

Welcome to the forum, Barbara
Because there are also a few other quirks that need to be worked out, using plug-ins with transparency effects in XnView can be a tricky venture.

Forum FAQ: BBCode Guide

Although XnView has no built-in filter for this particular effect, you can always extend its functionality by integrating Adobe Photoshop compatible plug-ins.Barbara Heger wrote:In the editing-programm I used before I had a FILTER who produced different ways of transparency in a picture, i.e. from left to right, from the middle to all sides of the picture, in waves and so on.
