Change Timestamp: EXIF->File Date for Canon CR2 files

I understand I cannot modify the EXIF info in a RAW file but I simply want to modify the file date/time to the EXIF data. When I do this I only get the time from the EXIF not the date.

Also, the EXIF time it might set the file date/time to is wrong. Not certain where it is getting it from.



Not certain if this is a bug, by design, or because I am doing something wrong.

Sorry but i don't udenrstand. Where do you have only the time? You want to chage EXIF date or file date?

It is a Canon RAW CR2 file with a bad File date on the Windows system. I want to pull the "Date Taken" from the EXIF and redate the file on the file system.

I had to restore files from a backup and all the file dates got set to the restore date.
