Hello,
It would be very great, if XNView would get a new function for renaming files: Let me explain it with an example. I have files "DSCN12000 picture.jpg" - "DSCN12001 Foto.jpg". And now iI want to rename them to "1 picture.jpg" - "2 Foto.jpg". I think this is impossible with the functions implemented, yet. The second part of the filename should be untouched, only the first part should be converted. A problem is, that the second part is of variable length, because I use it for tagging the pictures with what is shown on them.
Thanks for that great software!
regards,
Stefan

A nightmare---

• OMG ! Right ! Paul “Ouistiti”-friend and I have translated the PCRE doc into French for a help folder in a soft we deal with,RegExp (PCRE) would work here, but it's not exactly the easy to use for the end user
it was a fortnight-job and a real nightmare.
- Moreover, that library is very powerful, but not gratis…

Mirror site

• We found out a mirror site which has the whole original PCRE docs HERE in English.
- Some original pages @ Cambrige University have been moved¦renamed¦deleted,
hence it was impossible to follow the original links…
- It's a pity, because the French version for that soft is BEAUTIFUL…ok not the french version
