I see no difference if this option is enabled, or disabled.

I think that you have that with old version too, high quality is only for reduce

Yes, but it looks really awful on some pictures, much worse than on my screenshot. Could you add HQ also for enlarge please? Or it would be too slow?

Result when using option "stretch small pictures" is really bad, so the HQ should be enabled also for enlarge IMHO - even if it would be slow - it doesn't matter so much in slide show.
