And in browser/fullscreen, you have not the problem?

Correct.
With browser open or full screen it works OK.

I just wanted to chime in that I have the same problem here on Vista Ultimate 64. I was googling if there was a solution, found this thread, and then tried deleting lots of files manually from within Xnview with and without the browser open. Indeed, if the browser is open, the problem does not appear. I have to add though that I only tried on jpegs, not pngs, and I always kinda "felt" the problem appeared when the picture Xnview would display next was rather large and it would have to load it for a noticable time, which it then would fail to do, and swap to the next window while continueing loading the pic in the background.

Still present in the latest version.
Really annoying when browsing pictures and trying to remove some of them.
I'd be really glad if the bug could be fixed in one of the future releases.

With kind regards,
Mateo

Yes, too bad. I have switched to a new picture viewer due to this bug.
But I am trying every new version of XnView hoping for it to be fixed, due to I realy like the viewer.

Probably the same bug:

XnView goes to background after file deletion

I can't confirm this bug in any of two fullscreen modes, but I can in the browser.

XnView 1.95.3, Windows Vista Home Premium.

Workaround (for browser, perhaps also for fullscreen) - press Ctrl+Tab to activate the window.

Edit: So I can reproduce it also in view/fullscreen mode sometimes. More in the other topic.
