using xnview over network-where do deleted files go?

Post by Guest »

i store my pics on a shared network folder, and when i delete pics directly from that computer, then it goes in the recycled bin, but when i delete pics (from the shared folder) from another computer, i can't seem to find where the deleted items go.

thanks for all your help and this great program!

Have you checked both the recycle bin on the computer where the shared folder exists & the recycle bin on the local computer you're using at the time? I know whenever I delete pics from a digital camera while it's connected to the pc, it sends the deleted files to the recycle bin on the pc.

I am afraid that your networkfiles are "completely" deleted,
the recycle bin will not be used, this is a windows issue, not so much an issue of XNVIEW.

see:

under "Known issues".
