Transparency lost after resize

Post by brotondi »

Hello

I think there should be a thread about that, but I did not found it...

Select a gif with transparency -> Ctrl-U -> Resize to 16x16, save as gif -> transparency is lost (gone to white)...

Bug or wrong setting?

:) Hello !

Confirmed here ! However, according to the image, the BG can turn all white -as you said - or all black… :bugconfirmed:

Confirmed !

That occurs also when enlarging the picture, not only by reducing it.

... well I think it will occur with every Batch-Save...
(not after manual editing and saving)

Interesting... Try this:
- Open GIF, paste something in it -> all transparent gets white (without saving)

- Open ICO, paste something in it -> no bug -> Save as GIF=Transparency lost -> Save as ICO=Everything o.k.

...

- Open a GIF file, "add txt" in it -> all transparent gets black or white (without saving)

- Open an ICO file, "add txt" in it -> no bug

Re: Transparency lost after resize

The problem is when you resize a colors picture, the colors change so transparent index can not be kept
