xnview wrote:So not big at all. And always slow with this 300Kb DB?
Do you use categories?
v1.94 is very fast with cache 400+ mb (my old db before optimizing with v1.95). After upgrading to v1.95 browser opens very very slow :(
I dont use categories - category.db = 10 kb.

Optimizing dosn't help, it stay slow. Only rename the old DB helps, but it could be nice to keep it.

1.95 - 5-6 sek.
cache optimize - not effect.

Got a few figures for you

cache size 1019MB

using 1.94 - 1min 15 secs to open thumbs

using 1.95 - no thumbs after 5 mins

1.95.1 wouldn't run, it opened the "DOS" windows then stopped.

I will try it on another machine.

Tested here with the 1.95.1 version downloaded from Betanews.

It's was a lot quicker than 1.95, but still significantly slower than 1.94.2.

Returned to 1.94.2 for now.

Really? I've tested and for me the speed is almost the same. Slower for how many?
How many files do you have?

I'm using the version you emailed me.

It works on a couple of machines at work but not others.

Unfortunately the ones it works on don't have big databases
