Extracting movie frames on mpg files fails

Post by avx »

I encounter a problem (with 1.95.3, 1.95.4, 1.96 beta2) on Windows XP SP2 when extracting movie frames:
It always only creates a black picture (tried gif and jpeg).
For avi's it works fine.
The mpg: 640x480 30fps

in the xnview/PlugIns dir:
mpeg.dll 110.952 19.12.2007 16:08

At least I installed the 1.95.3 from the windows installer, afterwards I copied all files from the 1.96 beta2 zip to the program dir.

I've tried and no problem. Is it possible to have the mpeg file?

Hi Pierre,
you can download the snippet from http://www.wellenvogel.de/test/test.mpg.
I tried e.g. frame 999.

movies never play correctly:

* the 1st time you enter the folder
* if thumbnail cache is unwritable and icon not cached
