Crash With DWT Files?

Post by Mike Truly »

I have a folder with some web stuff in it. Lots of different HTML files and other types of files. One of the file types is a DWT extension. This is a template file of a web page. I edit and use the file in Adobe GoLive for creating web pages.

When I try to view this folder using XNView... it crashes every time. If I move the 2 DWT files somewhere else... there is no crash and I can view the folder.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks!
Sincerely,

Mike Truly

problems with Cadviewer?

Post by Peter2 »

DWT is also the extension for Autodesk/AutoCAD DraWing Templates which are displayed by the Cadviewer-plugin. maybe that is the reason for problems?

I've tried xnview with this file, and no crash. Could you try to rename Plugins folder of XnView?

OK... I renamed the plugins folder and then XNView does not crash when I go to the directory with the DWT files in it.

Seems it's one of the plugins.

Thanks for testing this.
Sincerely,

Mike Truly

When I rename the CAD plugin... it doesn't crash so clearly this particular type of DWT file is confusing the plugin.

Thanks!

Hello

I think you both (Pierre and Mike) should contact the programmer of the Cadview-plugin. They released a new version of their main-software in January and plan to release a new viewer for TotalCommander in April. Maybe the can add a function in the viewer that controls the file-content before crashing ...
