I made a search but received 0 post.
I opened saved a TIF in two versions: one uncompressed and one with LZW-compression. Filesizes are now as follows:
Uncompressed: 11356 kb
LZW: 12457 kb
So the compressed is larger than the uncompressed. Any explanation or idea?
(Also tested with a screen capture, it works good, as expected - the compressed is remarkably smaller in filesize.)
TIF LZW does not work?

Re: TIF LZW does not work?
I have similar result. Related topic about LZW + predict having the expected sizes.
Re: TIF LZW does not work?
Hi Marsh, thank you for the link.
I have tried to export the image as a compressed TIF, without success. There is no difference between uncompressed, LZW, ZIP or any other compression. The new tif always ends up with the size 12457.

Re: TIF LZW does not work?
Export works here with screen capture. There was an old version with export tiff compression bug (don't remember which one).Troken wrote:Hi Marsh, thank you for the link.

I'll look and see if it performs better on a 256 color image.
