How do I change the color shown after deleting part of pic
When I select and delete part of a picture, the deleted part is shown in black, how do I change it to white?
Re: How do I change the color shown after deleting part of pic
For true colour images:
Viewer menu>Edit>Background colour...
Viewer menu>Edit>Background colour...

Using XnView 1.93.4 (last version before Automatic updates were introduced which freeze the program if firewalls prevent it from accessing the internet)
There is no View > Edit
XnView 1.93.4 has Tools > Options > View > Background color
but that only changes the outside background color, not the color of what's left after you select the area inside the pic and press Delete.

In newer version
Image background color is in menu of v.1.96.1

OK I upgraded to 1.96.1 just so that we're on the same page.
Tools > Options > View > Background color
only changes the background color.
If you select part of the picture with your mouse and press the delete key, the deleted part is still black, see what I mean?

There are similar names throughout program. Here, a gold colour is chosen in menu for backing when a portion is deleted:c627627 wrote: If you select part of the picture with your mouse and press the delete key, the deleted part is still black, see what I mean?
