Hello:
I have a list of .ico files in Windows Explorer. I have associated .ico files with XnView.
If I double-click on any of the files, I get an Information box with the text "This image contains multiple pages. Please use "Previous page" and "Next page" to navigate between the pages". Is this a glitch, since I am in fact double-clicking on an individual file?
I click "OK" in the box, and the image in the .ico file in question is shown. Now, if I click any of the two arrows ("Previous page" or "Next page"), the Information box shows up again! Is that a glitch?
If I double-click on the first .ico file in the list in Windows Explorer, the "Previous page" arrow is not dimmed. Only if I click the "Next page" arrow and then the "Previous page" arrow does the "Previous page"arrow dim. Another glitch?
I am relatively new to XnView, which I like a lot, so I thought I would ask about the above.
Regards,
Hans L

Re: Strange (?) behavior with .ico files
Windows icons are multi-page files, which means they can contain more than one image. XnView lets you browse these images with the Previous page/Next page command.
For further information on how to navigate through multi-page/multi-frame files go to Topic #7791.
