Batch processing > drop down menu with "No action", "Open output folder wit XnView" / "...Explorer" is truncated in many languages, Czech, Slovak, German, even in French!
It's also not clear what these options mean, especially "no action", So I suggest to change it...
From this...
[x] Close dialog after conversion [No action [v] ]
To this:
After conversion:
[x] Close dialog
(o) Do not open output folder
( ) Open output folder in XnView
( ) Open output folder in Explorer
Placement and form might be different, I don't know if radio buttons are better than drop down menu...

I suggest this:
[x] Close dialog after conversion and
The bold part is new. The dropdown to the right stays exactly the same.

OK, but if that first option will be disabled??

Correct.Dreamer wrote:OK, but if that first option will be disabled??
"And" would be logically wrong in that specific case. "And/or" is the correct sense for a generic label, but awkward... I conclude no conjunction is necessary.
Good suggestion otherwise. Support+

I see it as one line or sentence. If you uncheck it at the front, the whole thing is disabled.

OK, but what if someone wants the other option and don't want the first one??Danny wrote:I see it as one line or sentence. If you uncheck it at the front, the whole thing is disabled.

Does "Open folder in XNv" even work? It's a modal window, meaning that program window behind it is inaccessible until you close the dialog.Dreamer wrote:OK, but what if someone wants the other option and don't want the first one??Danny wrote:I see it as one line or sentence. edit: Yes, it does work - i didn't notice that this was possible now. And, in fact, it only works after a process has been finished.
Well, in this case something could be done, yes. I don't like the "Do not open output folder" option, though. You have to think about that statement, even more because it's using negation ("do not do this"), which is bad for text comprehension. "Do nothing", kind like it already is, works better IMO.

Re: Batch processing - close dialog option issue and suggestion
OK, but this is not good either:
"After conversion: [x] Close dialog ...and... (o) "Do nothing""
Therefore I've suggested "Do not open output folder".
"After conversion: [x] Close dialog ...and... (o) "Do nothing""
Therefore I've suggested "Do not open output folder".

Re: Batch processing - close dialog option issue and suggestion
I've already said why i don't like that.
