Dear XnView developers,
I’m a 3D designer and I’d really like to be able to see thumbnails for EXR files. This format is very similar to HDR (32-bit, with the same wide dynamic range), and having previews would be a big help in daily work.
Previously, when I was working on Windows XP 32-bit, I used the Rhino Preview Image plug-in and could see thumbnails for Rhinoceros (.3dm) files. I’m now on Windows 7 x64, and unfortunately Rhino Preview Image doesn’t work on a 64-bit system.
It would be great if XnView could support previews for EXR and 3dm formats. That kind of functionality makes browsing large project folders much easier, especially when dealing with many versions and assets.
For reference, here’s a useful media kit link where you can look at the Rhino Preview Image plug-in and get an idea of how EXR files are handled visually.
Thanks in advance.

Note: You'll need MSVCP71.DLL & MSVCR71.DLL for ILMIMF.DLL to work.

Re: EXR and 3dm formats
AFAIK there's no plug-in for Rhino 3D (.3dm) yet.
Pierre will take a look at the samples you've provided, and maybe a future release of XnView will have support for this file format.
