;) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• That's due to some embedded thumb nails which are rotated, so disable the [ ] Use embedded Thumb nail option :  F12 >> Thumb nail >> Appearance…

- BTW :  This has been explained N… times here in the board, what about using the Search ? :P

 Kind regards,
Claude

The thumbnail is saved in a different position to the actual picture. If you open the photo in GIMP and re-save with "save thumbnail" option ticked it will correct this.

An existing thumbnail can also be rebuilt or reoriented without other program:
Browser menu>Edit>Metadata>Recreate EXIF thumbnail
(lossless)
or
Options>General>Read/Write>Write>JPEG>[x]Rebuild embedded thumbnail
(saving)

"Rebuild thumbnails" doesn't do anything.

I have a similar problem: thumbnails not being rotated, while the image is. This happened after running PTLens on the image.

I right clicked the image in Browser, and chose "Rebuild thumbnails", but that command did not do anything. Browser menu>Edit>Metadata>Recreate EXIF thumbnail worked fine.

Is this a bug?

"Rebuild thumbnails" is to rebuild thumbnail in thumbnail view from the picture files. It's not the same thing...

Disabling embedded thumbs solves the problem, but the browser gets very slow when building .NEF thumbs....
