nconvert with great output-Filesize

Post by hawk_vs »

Hello ,

We have Problems with the Filesize of the output-picture from nconvert.
The output picture have about the 3,5 higher filesize of the input picture .
here the Batch command with nconvert.

nconvert" -q 100 -npcd 2 -size 256x256+0 -ctype grey -corder inter -out jpeg -v -o "\\Servername\Share\output-Picture Input-Picture
Why ist the Filesize so bigger than the input-pictures ?

We use the nconvert Version v5.31

Thanks for Reply

Hello Pierre,

We used -q 100 and became the bigger results of the picturesize .
Without the -q 100 at the commandline ,nconvert should use also the -q 100 as default .
Or is this wrong and nconvert use another defaultvalue?
Here is the Filesize now 1/4 of the original input picture.

Where are the difference and Why ?

Kind Regards
