The problem can be shortly described as follows: when I make a selection on the image (e.g. using a mouse) and then zoom the image in, the eight selection rectangular markers (corner or side) do not function correctly: when the mouse is over them, the cursor pointer does not change the shape indicating the resize of selection, and the is no way to resize the selection. I think, the information about the position of selection markers is not updated correctly after zooming.
The workarounds:
scroll the image (up/down/left/right) a bit
switch to another application and back (Alt+Tab, Alt+Tab)
and now the selection is again resizable using the markers.
Steps to reproduce:
Open the image (that when zoomed in, will not fit the window and cause scroll bars to appear)
Make any selection (I used Ctrl+A) (It does not matter, if selection will fit the window after zooming in or not: the bug is reproducible in both cases, maybe smaller selection is more evident)
Zoom image in (I used Alt+MouseScroll). Now the selection cannot be resized using markers.
Environment:
XnVew v1.97.2
WinXP Pro EN SP3

• I cannot confirm, here I can always resize the selection after the image was zoomed in, using any of the eight grab points…

Claude, thank you very much for testing. I have made corrections on test steps: when you zoom the image in, the image should be larger then your view size, so scrollbars appear – then the drag points do not work. This bug exists for already quite a long time I have re-tested it for v1.97.3 – the same story. I have also found a nice effect: when you zoom in and zoom out (Alt+MouseScroll Up/Down sequentially), the drag points work every 2nd round Very funny.
