PCL-Format: writing, but not reading?

The page which displays the file formats known by XnView
http://www.xnview.com/de/formats.html
tells me that PCL can be written, but not read.

Is this true???

Yes, it's not easy to read PCL

That is clear - but it can write it? (Or "print to file" with PCL printer?)

According to my tests, it doesn't work properly yet.
