why can't edit IPTC data on my canon raw files?

Hi

why can't i edit IPTC data on my canon raw files?

i can i do with jpg files



is there an option to enable?

i guess xnview could use exiftool that can do it

• IPTC dans des CR2 et fonction Recherche IPTC
• Cannot create IPTC metadata for RAF and CR2 files
• How to configure XnView to read data from XMP file?

in short it doesn't work with canon raw files,does it?
it could write a xmp for the canon raw file (*.cr2)
