[Solved] Batch-processing: ESC cancels all
If I cancel a batch process with the "cancel-button" it cancels all: the "processing dialogue" and the "main configuration dialogue". This could be very hard if i.e. the file-selection was rather complicated ...
Better: "Cancel" only cancels the batch-process, but not the configuration dialogue.

Re: Batch-processing: ESC cancels all
When you press Cancel in the progress dialog, 'batch convert' dialog is closed??
Pierre.
Re: Batch-processing: ESC cancels all
If I remember correctly - yes, indeed. But it was in last July with an older version (1.97.6? or something ...)xnview wrote:When you press Cancel in the progress dialog, 'batch convert' dialog is closed??
Now it seem to be correct - both "Cancel"-button and "Esc" on keyboard, but now while testing sometimes XnView lost its focus and another software came to front. But after some repetitions it happened no more ...

With batch convert option '[x]Close dialog after conversion', it also closes dialog when it is interrupted by <ESC>Peter2 wrote:If I remember correctly - yes, indeed. Re: Batch-processing: ESC cancels all
OK, this seem to be trick - but we could discuss if its a bug or a feature. IMHO ESC should always return to the dialogue.marsh wrote:With batch convert option '[x]Close dialog after conversion', it also closes dialog when it is interrupted by <ESC>

Re: Batch-processing: ESC cancels all
I agree that cancelling conversion should return to the dialog. It is unusual for a key to have more than one action (and for example, I wouldn't want halting building of thumbnails to also close program). Better to have 'close dialog' disabled by default for the reasons you mentioned also.Peter2 wrote:OK, this seem to be trick - but we could discuss if its a bug or a feature. Re: Batch-processing: ESC cancels all
Works perfectly here, v1.98b1. Selection is remembered also. Thanks Pierre.
