Can I download photos from my digital camera?

I recently got a Windows 7 - which doesn't have those handy-dandy photo downloaders of yore, just crappy windows downloaders. Can i download my photos directly into XnView? If so, how?

There are two versions of XnView Media Detector available:

• v1.61: http://download.xnview.com/XnViewMediaDetector.zip (1'073'152 bytes)
• v1.70: http://download.xnview.com/XnView-win-full.zip (1'171'456 bytes)

Thanks Xn Triq The first media detector is the one that won't unzip for me. The second one I don't understand. It looks like a list of various XnViews. I don't see anything about a media detector. Maybe i don't know how to read/interpret the list - ?

On the bottom of the official download page it says:

XnView v1.97.8 Complete version (Some Plugins/Addons & NConvert, ShellEx, Media Detector)

• Setup (Multi-language) ... Server 1
  Zip file (Multi-language) ... Server 1
  French Setup ... Server 1
  German Setup ... Server 1

If you download XnView-win-full.zip, extract XnViewMediaDetector.exe from it and put it in the directory of your current XnView installation (usually C:\Program Files\XnView\), you should be able to call the utility from the Info menu.
