EMF support.

Post by markusb68 »

Hello,

can you please check this attached EMF file?
It seems that XnView does not render it correctly. (and all my other EMFs with bigger pictures inside too)
When I use "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer it looks O.K."

http://measmar.me.funpic.de/Folie1.zip

I have attached a JPEG how it should look alike:

Bigger one:

I'm using the latest Version 1.98 on a German XP-Pro SP3

Thanks

Yes, strange. Many viewers can't load it correctly too

They are generated by Powerpoint 2003 (all patches installed) using "save as" EMF.

I have to use EMF because PP can't export JPG in a reasonable quality. EMF is O.K. and so i want to use XnView to convert to JPG.

Do you have any plans to fix it?

Try free PDFCreator to print JPG, TIF, BMP, ...

Sure may work. But scaling is a hassle and I haven't found a way to convert 140 slides in a row.
PDFCreator only exports ONE Jpg even if PP sends more than on "pages".

Print to some multipage-format (TIF, PDF, ..) and convert later?

I don't know, just guessing around ...

I have tried opening this EMF file under some viewers and all of them fail. PMView says there is a CRC32 error while loading. Is the image okay?

HI,

the zip is ok. and the emf also. Try Windows XP's FAX and Image viewer.

The ZIP is okay. Pmview issued the crc error while opening EMF. Possibly an error on PMview part. I do not have XP anymore. If you say XP's fax and image viewer works, then the EMF is okay.
