[XnView 1.98 German, Windows XP SP3]
(1) 'Tools,Find similar files': Find similar video files as well (compare thumbnail view, file size etc.).
(2) Allow editing EXIF data.
(3) Categories: Allow creating new and deleting or editing other categories.
(4) The color for highlighting files or folder is not user-definable. Maybe the reason is the underlying Windows default theme. So a folder gets a fading gray highlighting and is recognizable by this with difficulty. As this is an option with many other applications, XnView also should allow to set the highlighting color for this purpose.
(5) Allow user-definable hotkeys.
(6) Allow snapshots from a video or from a user-definale frame (e.g., the tenth). While video files cannot get IPTC data or such, image file can. Moreover, you don't need another application for this purpose.
(7) Allow creating user-defined buttons for the Buttons bar, for commands not offered as buttons yet (e.g., 'Stop Animation').
(8) 'Print,Watermark': Allow choosing an image file (and its transparency) as the watermark.
(9) Display XMP data in the Preview more like Preview's EXIF/IPTC data,.
(10) To be mentionend in the XnView help and menues: F5 also refreshes, as Ctrl+R does.
