Preview is Empty

Post by chris789 »

I couldn't pick the right words in search to find an answer to this question.

I have v1.98.1 and slecting a file in the main window produces nothing in the preview. I have options > Browser > File List > show in preview all checked. What else do I need to do?

Regards,
Chris

Out of curiosity, if I double click the Fullscreen icon rapidly twice, the preview pane displays the selected thumbnail!!

Yes, XP. I have never had a preview when selecting a file in the main panel.

The preview is empty. I click once on the full screen view icon. I then hit esc. The preview is occupied.

Perhaps the same problem as in topic 'Lost my preview in Browser'?

Helmut,

You suggest from the link,
Perhaps in menu "Tools > Options" | category "Browser > File List" you have unchecked the checkboxes in the column "Show in preview"
From my first post above I said,
I have options > Browser > File List > show in preview all checked.
Haven’t I already done what you are now suggesting?

Chris

I cannot select anything from real size to zoom in the second dialog box.

Pierre,

I have deleted the ini file two times and restarted XnView with no improvements.

I have emailed you my current ini file.

PROBLEM IDENTIFIED?

Because we were running out of options, I tried a different folder. I tried my Pictures folder containg jpg's and any selected jpg had a preview.

Previously, the folders I have been using have all contained ace files. I obtained XnView to display multiple ace files at the same time - which it does magnificently.

Preview of jpg files works. Preview of ace files does not. I hope you, Pierre, can find the reason!!

Regards,
Chris

P.S. Telepathy of the same ideas at the same time??!!
