Default Tab control overlaps with border

Post by helmut »

On Windows XP when using the default tab control, the tab shown overlaps with the border which separates tabs from toolbar.

To reproduce:

1.) Start XnView.
2.) In Tools > Options > Interface activate "Use default tab control".
3.) Close Option dialog with OK
--> The "Browser" tab overlaps and hides the border.

Ghost tabs !

Post by Clo »

• Hi !

• Confirmed, here I get "tabs" which are not painted at all !

       Image

• Only the lack of a portion on the white line shows the “active tab” :P
- Same in Browser and in View.

• Frankly, I don't see what this option is useful for ?

Thank you for checking, Clo.

I'm not sure what this settings is good for, but perhaps some people want the native Windows controls. (I guess there has been a request for this).

-> Confirmed.

Buggy !

• Again…
I'm not sure what this settings is good for, but perhaps some people want the native Windows controls. …
- Yes, why not ? But in the case, we might get the normal Windows tabs,
in example I get them OK in the Options with my classic Win9x interface…

• Hence, the file-tabs are pretty buggy using that option.

 Hi Clo!

Is this option available on both your XP and your 9x system?

XP - XP

Post by Clo »

:) Hi again!

• I guess you misunderstood a bit that I told above : I tested under XP-Pro only, in which I use a classic Win9x theme

• In the same PC, I've too a Win98 SE, but it's out of duty, impossible to reuse it to boot…
- The reason is an error when installing a new M-B and XP…
- Besides, my oldie PI with 98 SE is broken and I didn't repair it yet, I miss time…

Yes, some users want win32 tab control to have the skinning....
And you must have the .manifest on Xp if you use standard tabs

:) Good evening,
…And you must have the .manifest on Xp if you use standard tabs
• Sorry I HAVE it always, and I get the “ghost tabs” you can watch above…

- So, there is a Image somewhere…

- When one doesn't use a XP-theme, the standard corresponding tab is not found,
like for helmut and I who use classic Win9x theme !
