32bit tiff format doesn't work anymore

Post by ilteroi »

hi!

i noticed that in contrast to version 1.82.4 the current 1.92.4 cannot display 32bit tiff images with compression. you can find a sample image at http://www.speedshare.org/download.php?id=63147E973 - it was saved using standard windows gdi+ functions.

:) Hello !

• Confirmed with your sample, only the alpha channel is shown. That's a single page file.

• Same converting it into PNG…

@ilteroi: You need to deactivate View | Use alpha channel (Ctrl+H).

Tedious

:) Hello !

• Right, but it's quite tedious to rummage continually in the menu to enable¦disable the A-channel…

- Couldn't XnView do that automatically according to the type¦header of the file ?
- And - I checked - we miss a command for a button…

• Aside : a Commands Manager is really needed, MY PROPOSAL about that is unanswered for one year,
while obviously, that tool is missing more and more… :|
- I made even a French version of that article, wasted time… “A stroke of sword in water”…
