I went into the Options->Thumbnails->Enable Caching and cached the directory I needed, but where can I find the thumbnails that it generated? Or if it has not generated them yet how can I generate the thumbnails that the Caching made? I could not find a setting showing the directory and looked in the xnview folder in the 'Program Files' directory, as well as My Document->My Pictures and could not locate them. Can someone tell me where to find the thumbnails or how to generate thumbnails from the files I cached over the weekend?
Thank you in advance,
SK

Search your hard drive for "xnview.db", I have mine set to %ProgramFiles%\XnView\Cache but there are two other settings you can choose.

Re: Where are thumbnails located?
Thanks. I found that, but how can I get the thumbnails from that into an actual .jpg (or any other) thumbnail file? I fund how to 'cache' the entire drive by enabling the cache and adding the top level folder from another forum thread, so I did what it said to do (Options->Thumbnails->Cache->Enable) but now that I let it run over the weekend and cache all the images from the drive, how do I get the images into thumbnails? I cannot find any way to that, and I tried using the total commander plugin 'decThumbsDBViewer3' but it won't open the db file and I can't figure out any way to get the thumbnails generated. Any idea how I can do that?
Thank you in advance,

XnView will then display all cached thumbnails. Though I have no idea how you can export the thumbnails into a new image. Pierre?oops66 wrote:... It is also possible to extract thumbnails from XnView.db (the SQLite Blobs), but I do not know any freeware to do that !
Pierre do you have a way to do that ???
