Hello,
I appreciate quite much XnView, nevertheless i have quite an issue with xcf pictures.
i need to see xcf pictures as they appear in gimp. I mean by that that i don't want to see all the layers, but only the relevant ones. Xnview shows every layers, which simply makes the pictures unviewable...
Do you know if there's a way to overcome this issue ?
xcf show all layers

Re: xcf show all layers
Would you like XnView to display XCFs with flattened/merged layers, gershon09?
Re: xcf show all layers
Thank you both for your reply.
Sorry to answer back so late, with all the events and all in France, i forgot about my post...
Not easy for me to speak correctly in English as i'm not so good with technical vocabulary. Following pictures will explain better than any text...
First picture shows how looks the xcf file in Gimp. There are 3 layers :

Second picture shows how i wish to see the xcf picture with xnview. If In Gimp i choose not to show the second layer, then i don't want to see it with xnview:

Third one shows the picture i'm actually seeing with xnview, which i don't want:

There's a way to configure xnview to show xcf files the way i want ?

Thanks for the screenshots, gershon09.gershon09 wrote:There's a way to configure xnview to show xcf files the way i want ?
As far as I know, there's currently no option to make XnView display only visible (i.e. exclude hidden) layers in XCF (GIMP), PSD (Photoshop) or PSP (PaintShop Pro).
Re: xcf show all layers
Ok, thank you XnTriq.
I'm quite sorry of that, but nevermind.
Xnview is an excellent viewer that i now use.

There has been a similar request just the other day. Perhaps Pierre can/will implement a setting at some point.gershon09 wrote:I'm quite sorry of that, but nevermind.
