improvements to compare window

I like the compare-view and think there is room for improvements:
a) fullscreen mode
b) customizable background-color
c) layout options - align images vertcally, horizontally or auto-layout (implemented now)
d) indicate current zoom-factor, mouse-coordinates and color information

--- detailed information to the mentioned topics
a) The titlebar and the windows taskbar don't deliver usefull information, because i want to see as much as possible from the compared pictures. Same thing with the toolbars, the OK button (see this posting) and the scrollbars (customizable?).

b) I like dark (black) background when viewing pictures because white is too bright.

c) e.g. comparing three portrait pictures in the current layout is not efficient

d) i'm missing this information when comparing pictures

Hi,

Most of these requests still seem valid despite the age of the original post.

Item c) - flexible layout in the compare window - would still be very useful. Its particularly important when comparing two landscape photos, as the current automatic layout mechanism (as at 1.90.3) still places these photos one beside the other, instead of one above the other.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi John,

Yep, I had read through all of those threads already and am interested in most of those features. Wanted to make sure I wasn't re-raising one of your previous requests, though I did miss the sidecar file thread until you pointed it out!

Thanks,
Matt

I fully support your requests for improving the compare dialog.

Personally I like comparing by toggling between images, this is why Compare dialog: Remember setting "Use tabs" would be essential for me.

I guess this is a job for our forum librarian XnTriq. XnTriq, could you please create and post a list of bugs & suggestions related to the compare dialog?

Houps, didn't notice that this has been fixed, already. :-)

Thank you very much, XnTriq, for the list of suggestions & bugs!
