Scroll through individual images from browser view?
I'm not sure right words to use to describe this so please bear with me...
Browser view consists of folders pane on left and thumbnails pane on right. The thumbnails pane is filtered, using filter option at top of view, to just images.
I double-click on an image thumbnail and a tab opens up with the single image. There are arrows I can use to scroll to the next image.
The scroll actually goes to any media file recognized by XnviewMP and not to the next thumbnail shown in the browser view - in this example, only images.
Is it possible to limit the single view to scrolling through only the list of files from the browser view?
Kind regards.

Re: Scroll through inidividual images from browser view?
Thank you for your problem report, appyface. I'm pretty sure that this has been discussed before and my point of view is pretty clear: If you have a filter set in XnView browser, this filter should also apply when navigating from one image to the next image. Perhaps, XnTriq, our librarian can help, here and find the appropriate discussions.
I've just double-checked in XnView MP 0.99.7 and confirm your observation: Even though that filter in browser is set to "Images", when opening an image and navigating from one image to the next you can see video files, too. I'd consider this a bug in XnView.

Thanks for your reply and for confirming you see the same behavior.
Is there something further I need to do, to have XnTriq or ? check further and advise?

This seems to be a known issue which has only been fixed in XnView Classic:

Thank you for searching for similiar reports and posting them here, XnTriq. In XnView Classic this works as decribed in the initial post and as expected so this is a bug in XnView MP.
In topic File Inclusion/Exclusion various aspects, pros and cons were discussed. There's a comment of mine on file list for browser and file list for image view that I still can sign today:

A long time ago we had a file list (=filter) for browser and a file list for image view. For most people this was very confusing and the file list for image view was removed. In XnView 1.80 the file list for browser and file list for image view are simply the same. I think that this should remain like this.

Re: Scroll through inidividual images from browser view?
Thank you for this. Unfortunately, I did not have any luck. I have filter by images selected in browser view, and only images are showing there. I begin viewing the individual images and moving to the next with the right arrow. I also get the display of an MP4 video (for example).
Please let me know what I can do to help.
Thank you.

in settings>File list>Custom filter, uncheck video for 'show in preview'

Re: Scroll through individual images from browser view?
OK that removed the video.
I'll try some more filters with things other than images and see what happens.
But... Having removed this setting, if my filter is set to videos I can't open them in single image mode, without changing this setting again? I'm not sure I need to, but I'm sure if I ever do I'd probably have forgotten all about this setting.
Is there a reason this video setting is used instead of just the filter?
Thank you.
