When attempting to open MP4 files created by the DJI Mini 4 Pro, XnViewMP 1.7.2 64-bit crashes.
I couldn't attach even the smallest file here due to size limitations, so I've uploaded it to Filebin.
Fedora Linux 38.

Re: Crash when opening any DJI drone MP4 file
Hi dandv, thank you for the high resolution video of your DJI Mini 4 Pro.
I downloaded the short video file to test your problem on my computer.
I do not have any playback issues with the latest XnViewMP 1.7.2 Windows (!) version.
I think XnViewMP use the ffmpeg 6 library for decoding videos.
On Windows systems it is part of the program installer.
Maybe you need to install it on fedora linux systems separatly?
Did you test other video player programs? Did they work correctly?

Yes, I can see the drone videos with VLC or SMPlayer.masterjp wrote: Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:04 pm Did you test other video player programs? Did they work correctly?
I've had ffmpeg installed for a long while but I've just double-checked:
$ sudo dnf install ffmpeg
Last metadata expiration check: 2:21:14 ago on Thu 13 Feb 2025 03:35:52 PM.
Package ffmpeg-6.0.1-3.fc38.x86_64 is already installed.
Dependencies resolved.
Nothing to do.
