1.8.0 - metadata - EXIF thumbnail - issue with embedded thumbnail

XnViewMP 1.8.0 64bit
Windows11 (23H2), display resolution 3840x2160, win scaling 150%

Viewer/Browser - embedded thumbnail

To reproduce:
0. have test image (with embedded thumbnail) in folder

test_img.jpg

issue A
1. open test image in Viewer
2. press Ctrl+S to resave it
image resaves, but embedded thumbnail does not updates


issue B
1. open test image in Browser
2. run EXIF thumbnail - Rebuild (Metadata menu > EXIF thumbnail)
nothing happens


issue C
1. open test image in Browser
2. open Clean metadata (Metadata menu > Clean...)
- select EXIF thumbnail
- press OK
'EXIF thumbnail' does not remove embedded thumbnail
it only works if 'EXIF' is selected
