I mean option to disable/enable. I never use it and it's really annoying...

It sometimes happens that you get into rename mode even if you don't want. Not sure how this comes, the first version I've experienced this is 1.80, I think. Let's see whether we can track this down and make reproducable. Dreamer?xnview wrote:One click??? You must double click on itemDreamer wrote:I mean option to disable/enable. Right, but this 'feature' was here also in 1.74 (more below)...helmut wrote:It sometimes happens that you get into rename mode even if you don't want. I mean "rename file/folder with one click":xnview wrote:One click??? You must double click on itemDreamer wrote:I mean option to disable/enable. I never use it and it's really annoying...
- click any file in browser (e.g. details view)
- wait few seconds (at least 3)
- click the same file again
= you should be able to rename file (in rename mode with whole name selected)
This might be useful for some users, it's also standard Windows behavior (if you don't use 'single click to open an item' option), but it is useless and annoying feature for me (and other users).

Right !

• Right, confirmed ! And I agree, this is a pain in the neck !…= you should be able to rename file (in rename mode with whole name selected)…
- If I'ld need really to rename a folder, I'ld use the RMB-menu…

Extra option is not needed maybe. If this option would be implemented, option 'rename with one click' (this topic) could be automatically disabled.
