Difficulty downloading versions

I have always had problems downloading new versions of XnView. I am using Windows 11, and today, after trying on 2 different computers and both Chrome and Edge, I decided it was time to ask. I tried downloading both the EXE and Zip, but both fail after some time trying to download it with the following error:

Download.xnview.com took too long to respond.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Is there a special way to download new versions?

Do you have a way to view your internet connection speed, and also the actual download speed while downloading XnView MP?

If not, maybe search for something like 'windows view connection speed' and 'windows view download speed' for simple apps you might install.

Thanks for the reply. Download speed isn't the issue as I have no problems downloading other files and can also download XnView from other sites like Softonic. Speeds to download are around 500 Mbps. I have always had issues with downloading XnView, and it's the only one that has problems.

Your question prompted a thought. I added a VPN and set it to France. Then I had no problem downloading the latest file. Is this an expected issue?
