Next features [Fixed]

I suggest improving filters :

- Add an horizontal lifter (slider ?) for filters having a very long list of items, like tags

- Add a checkbox to enable and show content of a filter , or disable and hide the content; only filter name is shown.

- Add a + button for metadata to be used for filtering

yes will be useful

yes, perhaps better to a setting button at the top to enable/disable whichones do you want?
- Add a + button for metadata to be used for filtering
to make a global metadata filtering?

Yes better with a button , same as those in "Settings"

I would like to choose a field, eg iptc:city , add this field with a "+" in the iptc metadata area ... (and a "-" button to remove other fields I don't need)

And then, open a dialog (same dialog as File > Name> ) to enter a criteria (is, is not ...) "Paris"
to make a global metadata filtering?
I remember Picasa used only global filtering. It's very efficient for beginners.
A single search field. You enter a text , Marseille , and all photos containing this word, anywhere, will be displayed.
Even for users who don't know anyting about metadata

I haven't tested all functions and versions, but I found great improvements in V1.50 for "Filter" and 'Search' functions.

1) Using "GALLERY" in main menu
Filters have been updated , a search field is shown to select an item in "Tags" or other fields with many values.(instead of a slider) OK !
All metadata can be used as a criteria OK !
Amazing.

- One more improvement could be the ability to edit 'recent' entries in the filter, perhaps with a long press on the entry. (adjust criteria without changing the field name)

- Also add a "Favorites" area, where the user could add his own favorites filters

- My photos contain these exif data :
exif:make="NIKON" and Model="COOLPIX"
Is there a way to filter on these fields, I can't get a match ...(no files found)

2) In the first search field of "Filter" , sometimes, values in metadata such as iptc:caption are found, sometimes not. Should I renew the database ?
Edit : Answer "Caption" field must be displayed as a label for thumbnails

3) But in "ALBUMS", and "FILE" choices in main menu, the previous version of filters is still used.
In Settings menu (top right of the "Filter" screen) The first three items don't show anything (File type, Year, Rating)
etc ...

I support the idea
exif:make="NIKON" and Model="COOLPIX"

Same for me : make=samsung or sony don’t find anything, even just using the main search field aka any field (I can find some "sony" where it’s in the file name, that's it).
In search it works, not in filter.

- Edit filter OK

- Exif make and model OK

- I noticed now that filters are adaptative : items depend on the content of the files shown ... Ok
