XnView MP keeps crashing after a video preview

Hello all,
I have been all over the internet and tried every solution I could find but to no avail. I hope someone here can help.

Every time I preview a video in XnView MP it works fine, but when I close the tab I get a "thinking" cursor icon for a second, then after an additional second XnView MP closes completely.

This has happened with multiple file types. So far it happens with .mp4, .mov, and .mkv. I haven't tried any others.

I tried reinstalling XnView MP, installing old versions, checking all updates are current, re-installed K-lite, deleting XnView .ini file...nothing has worked. This is a fairly new issue. about a week or so ago, this wasn't happening.

This is on windows 11, XnView MP version 1.11.6
