Ah I see.
Updated to v2.13...
Yes it's still placing True Color jpegs after Grey Scale jpegs in version 2.13.

Re: 2.05: File Sorting by type does not work properly
Sigh... It seems when XnView wants to sort files by type they don't mean .jpg or .png.
I am trying to read a manga and chapter 2 is showing up before chapter 1 in the order.
Both chapters are Jpeg, however chapter 2 is Truecolor v1.1 and chapter 1 is 256 Grayscale .

Re: XnView skipping randomly around files in folder?
Right click empty space on thumbnail screen, sort files by type.
Keep in mind that 2.05 does not correctly sort all files by type.
To make images sort properly as you scroll through so you don't get video files try this.
PRESS ENTER
Then
PRESS ENTER AGAIN.

Re: XnViewe db and ini file
IMO you should disable caching. It's not necessary. I have folders with thousands of images and it doesn't take that long to generate thumbnails.
I'm not sure about xnview but in the past I've had cached thumbnails for files conflict with other images because it cached the previous files thumbnail ...

Re: File Sorting Issues
Yeah I noticed the Alphanumeric order is off at times as well.helmut wrote: "Type" are not listed next to each other. And the order of the entries in column "Type" is anything but alphabetically.

Re: Interface color
What is the "main menu"? The thumbnail pane?
For xnview v2 go to options>browser>thumbnails
There are also background color options in Preview, View, and Fullscreen.
The "blue" selection color is probably a windows "selected items" color and needs to be changed within your operating system.

2.05: File Sorting by type does not work properly
I'm using version 2.05 and I'm having all kinds of issues with it sorting files alphabetically and by type.
I'm pretty sure that when I sort files by "type" that .PDF files ought to be together without .FLV or .MPG files mixed in between, above, and below them.
