Autoclose Viewer tab on doubleclick
A similar question was asked in 2017 at https://forum.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=34500 but I'm hoping things have changed since then.

Re: 1.8.0 - Cannot set keyboard shortcut for "Fit image..." options
Very odd. I've just tried with k as well and it's not working.
Are the new shortcuts supposed to appear in the menu as well? They're not showing up for me, even after restarting XNView MP.

Re: 1.8.0 - Cannot set keyboard shortcut for "Fit image..." options
I've tried "?" (Shift-/) and Alt-/ as those would be the easiest to remember since I use the default "/" a fair amount to resize large only.

1.8.0 - Cannot set keyboard shortcut for "Fit image..." options
Using "Fit image to window" and an image that is smaller than the default window, I've tried Alt+/, Shift+/ (?), period. Nothing works, but the menu selection does. The existing default "/" for "Fit image to window, large only" works fine.
This is on a GPD Win Max 2.

Browsing SMB shares is very slow
I have enabled ExpandUNC=1 in the ini file.

Possible to open image in new window yet?
I've downloaded the latest beta and it seems that it's not possible, but I could be wrong.
Is it at all possible to open images in an independent window so that resizing doesn't affect the gallery view? I prefer to resize images using the "Fit image to desktop, large only" setting in Classic, but ...

Re: Mouse reposition on zoom in/out?
Reset X/Y ( T ools » O ptions... » View » View ) is supposed to make XnView maintain the position of the window at the upper left of the screen, but this seems to be buggy under certain circumstances.

Re: Mouse reposition on zoom in/out?
Actually I was going to donate anyway! I've been trialling numerous viewers to see which one can most effectively take over from my long time hero, ACDSee. I'm now left with XNView and ExifPro - ExifPro I've already bought but it's no longer being developed.

Sorry for the delay, I decided to make a video to demonstrate what I mean and fell asleep during the upload.

Re: Mouse reposition on zoom in/out?
You are stepping through images with different pixel images presumably?
Not really. Most of the time I'm scanning through identically-sized photos that I shoot blindly in burst mode from a quadrotor, or shot during events, again in burst, using my iPhone. In the first pass, I flick through them ...

Re: Mouse reposition on zoom in/out?
Thanks, I do have that setting active and I want to keep it - I like it as I find that it makes overall window management much simpler. The only downside is as I described when zooming. :p
