Unfortenately it does not work.

I included "FormatSaveAll=jpeg" in the Start Section.
I restartetd XnView. I rebooted the PC. But it does not work.

I do not understand the sense of "Code: Select all", therfore I tried to
include it also in the Start section, but with same ...

you can change it in [general] section of .ini
FormatSaveAll=jpeg

After changing the INI location under "Menu/Tool/Options/Systemintegration"
I found the xnview.ini file under the following location:
C:\Users\XXXYourUsernameXXX\AppData\Roaming\XnView ...

I am using XnView to scan all my documents (Paperless (private) Office).
Once a month I scan 50-100 documents in a bunch. Then I have the
same number of pictures open in XnView.

meanwhile I found out that the error message "Communication with the Scanner not possible ..." is
raised by the scanner driver and not by XnView.

Nevertheless the problem still exits and I have no glue what to do.

sorry that I did not mention that: XnView shows a message that the MFP (Multi Functional Printer) is offline. I will upload a picture end of today.

The MFP is shown in the list when I select the function XnView/Menu/File/Select Twain source.

I am using a new Synology DS212+ NAS as Print Server for my Canon Printer/Scanner.
XnView ist my Software which I use since years for scanning documents.
Unfortenatly it is not possible to use the scanner/printer functionalty any
longer out of xnview.
Printing from other programs is possible ...
