I need to zoom to 1:1 to see the text clearly.

Effect: The preview (Pan tool) is out of scope and I can't select the top.

Expected behaviour:
The preview can automatically adapt to the height ...

You have to use numbers from top row, not the numbers from Numpad,
because Shift+Numpad combination returns different scancodes (Numpad with disabled NumLock):
