Re: Show files in subfolders / separator for new folder?

You mean a “ flat view ” with “ grouping ”, Lupin III?

I guess that is what I mean.

This is how it looks now (images of the same color are in the same subfolder):
Unbenannt1.png

and has messy results like this for sorting depending on filenames (order by name should sort by full path name ...

Show files in subfolders / separator for new folder?

I'm using the option "show files in subfolders" in the browser quite often when searching for or sorting pictures. Is it possible to show a separator in the thumbnail list whenever a new folder "starts"? I generally store images in folders by date and I also add a short keyword as description of the ...

Re: Shell extension not working with Windows 7

If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows 7, download the 64-bit version of the shell extension separately. This worked for me.

No, it always jumps to the top left corner ("lock zoom" works). And it has the same problem as the compare feature: most of the xnview-browser functions are not available.

To reproduce it you need at least two files in a folder (obviously you want to sort something :-). Give them different dates, but set all date values of a file (created, modified, EXIF dates) to the same value.

Look at the tooltip, if all values are set to the desired values (if the values don't ...

Oh, I have never seen this before, although it was there in 1.82, too, as I see now. But it surely wasn't there when I first checked.

The problem is, it's completly differently to operate than the xnview browser. For example I can't use the +/- keys to zoom in and out, or the arrow keys to move ...

Images still sorted by old timestamp after "change time

After getting pictures out of my camera with, the ones that have been taken in an upright position are automatically turned by the camera program, so they are upright in every other program. This of course changes the timestamp of the file. Luckily xnview has this feature "change timestamp". (i use ...

Option to "lock position" after "lock zoom&qu

It would be nice if additionally to "Lock Zoom" a "Lock Position" option would be available. (Actually I'm used to this feature, because this is exactly what my camera does).

I have many pictures of the same scene only differing in camera settings. To select the best of these images I often look at ...

Yes, this did it. In my old config all Template# entries in the "Rename" section were empty. Now it at least starts with "name-#".
After clearing all the template entries in the ini-file xnview crashes like described. I don't know why all entries were empty, didn't do this by hand.

Could you post a screenshot of the dialog before the crash?

How can I post screenshots? I created an account for this forum now, but there's no possibility to add an image.

btw. the spam word was "pro-gram-ming" in the previous post. That's why there are dashes in it now, even as registered ...
