If you disable thumbnail cache, you have no problem?
Correct. Even if you disable thumbnails cache, about 3/4 into the cache, it will says "a problem has occur that cause XnView to shut down."

Sorry, if you disable thumbnail cache you have the crash? Could you send me your email to send a test ...

Also can add this feature:

1. Allow videos to play within thumbnails. In other words, you can press a play button and the video play RIGHT INSIDE the thumbnails, not having to open an external player.

2. Set any frame as thumbnail

Like this program is using, Antares10:

B3 - froze up when caching video thumbnails.

I have tons of videos...about 4000 files and I have no problem generate thumbnails and store them in cache in version 1.95. But in version 1.96 beta 3, about 3/4 of the way, it stop generating thumbnails and froze up!!!!

So something is wrong with your cache storage.

Re: No difference between this version and previous????

Yes all are videos.
What's the difference between avi that are strechted and not?

What do you mean? It's not just avi, every other format does the same. Stretching give you bigger size so you can see it better and it align with other videos in an organize way. For the picture that i posted here ...

Re: No difference between this version and previous????

You would like that video thumbnail fit which size???

Yes, can you make it so that the video thumbnails stretch to the size. Not all of them do...i notice some do and some don't. If you make the video thumbnails LARGE like 500x500, you ended up seeing a pic of video in the center with a dimension ...

No difference between this version and previous????

So what exactly are the improvements??

All i want is the developer to enhance the video thumbnails. Make it so that it expand and fit the size no matter what video format they are. Obviously, you guys are not listening.

More options for video thumbnails.

Here are the following suggestions for the next version:

1. 4 capture screen for each thumbnail as an option.
2. Expand the video thumbnails to fit the thumbnail dimension selected no matter what format, size, dimension the original video are...so if i select 'large thumbnails' size, 500x500, the ...

Why not just create a feature that allow user to go through a movie and pick a frame for their thumbnails? I know a program that does that. This will solve all the black screen thumbnails.

Also it seems like there are some type of WMV files that XnView can not extract and generate thumbnails...it's just stay there. I don't know if the WMV is too big or what...but i don't think so...it looks just like any other WMV files when i check the property.

I like this feature cuz i seen it on another program but that program was too slow for generating video thumbnails. XnView is the best when it comes to generating thumbnails whether video thumbnails or image thumbnails.

One problem i have is that the video thumbnail does not expand and fit the ...
