Sorry if I´m bumping this but I just wanted to say that the plug-in that brings XnView EXR support is called "IlmImf.dll" since it´s not mentioned in the Readme for the plug-ins download. Maybe it should be included in the base package now since it´s getting more popular.

PSD writing crashes XnView unless image is True Colour
I noticed today that if you try to save an image in Photoshop PSD format in XnView 1.80.3 it crashes if the image isn´t True Color (24 bit). Steps to reproduce:
Open any image in XnView. Go Image > Convert to Grey > 256 Grey scale. Go File > Save As and choose PSD format. Click Save and CRASH ...

XnView 1.70.4: Check for Update broken
It seems that the "Check for Update" feature in XnView 1.70.4 (Jul 7 2004) is broken. It still said I was running the latest version of XnView until I happened to find 1.80.2 on your website and installed it this week.
Maybe you can fix this by updating the info on your update server or something ...
