Re: XnView MP: Rotate images according to EXIF orientation t

It seems the behaviour described relates to a refresh issue. That's a long run issue with MP. We use to press F5 regularly and sometime even need to temporary change focus to another folder in order to get the list refreshed. I agree that's painful and may discourage new users. The other topic, rela...

Re: No new bugs between 0.72 & 0.75??

With version 0.75 we can't play any video :( The player buttons comes visible as well as the time bar, but the play button is inactive. I tried in the browser / preview and in full screen as well. Same result. We can even move the position on the time bar but no way to (dis)play any image from the v...

0.75 playing video

Difference in the format of dates & times on many displays.
Version 0.75 only show Hours:Minutes :(
Version 0.72 always shows Hours:Minutes:seconds

I noticed Seconds are missed in labels under the Thumbnails, in file properties tab, EXIF tab and in the Change Timestamp dialog.

Create Multipage File - Animated GIF

Would it be possible to add "Animated GIF" in the list of multipage formats for exporting? I used t have an external tool to produce them and it's a bit cumbersome: Export/convert all individual files in GIF format somewhere, import in the tool, create the animated GIF and copy the result in the ori...

Re: MP and video clips - Some deficiencies

Exactly. We improved this in (old) XnView some time ago.

Best regards,

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

The option currently has a dual role: It dispays the video to be seen in the preview pane and then it starts playing the video. That's normal behaviour. Seeing / paying videos in View mode: It's like they were filtered-out of the list of files. Samirala highlighted this, earlier in this post: I got ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

It would be a problem, yes. Suggestion : - In Browser > File List > Custom filter: option "Show in preview" allows autoplay in the Browser Preview Pane (and is ignored in all other modes). - In View > View, the option "Autoplay (video)" allows automatic or manual start of video in Full Screen mode. ...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

Do you mean, activate preview in the "Custom filter" would also allow to see the video in view mode ? It's not ideal in term of logic / ergonomic for the setup menu. If it's an option to activate autoplay in Browser and in view mode, I would not add another option (yet) and let the user start play m...

Re: Info about XnView's settings (store & load)

I'm back with the question of the actual path used by the system (Windows 7 as an example). I put a message some time ago but apparently it didn't triggered that much attention. Further comments were posted with information not verified, assuming that nothing have changed in the Windows world 8) Unl...

Re: MP and video clips - Some deficiencies

From my initial list I would like to prioritise one improvement. Currently this is one that sticks me to the use of the (old) XnView when running an automatic slideshow. - The delay in a slideshow is set via an option (I usually set to 5000 ~ 15000 ms*). Unfortunately, the duration of video clips is...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

I think both exists already in the menu. It's just the current behavior which is not accurate: There are 2 options related to this but no combination allows a true choice: - In Browser > File List > Custom filter: option "Show in preview" should apply only for the Browser Preview Pane (to allow play...

Re: Playing Video clips - When required

Still in v. 0.72. Can we have these options changed so playing videos in the small Explorer Preview Pane can be disabled while keeping the possibility to play them in Full Screen? Enabling playing videos in the small Explorer Preview Pane causes issue with file move / delete / rename / date change,....

Re: There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation

If you don't know there are 2 options in the menu or if you are confused with the actual meaning / feature behind each option you may think your pictures are just fine whereas they may not! - or they could be shown fine on your machine with XnView and wrong on another machine / on a phone / a TV set...

Re: Rotation and EXIF Orientation field

Hello Pierre, I just come back from another trip and I realised that this tissue still exist. I had to use the (old-standard) version of XnView :( This time I double-checked with external EXIFtool and with old Xnview. After rotation in view mode, and save, the EXIF data stills "Orientation: Rotate 90...
