Yeahh!!!

Pierre, the new version rocks :-)))

I have tested the same pictures as before.
20 pictures with 48 MB were rotated in 15 seconds.

Then I have put the same pictures to nconvert again and it took only 3 seconds :-)

Can I use this testversion for all my pictures or is it a non stable ...

Hello Pierre

Thanks for the testversion but it is not faster.

I tested it with 20 pictures with 48 MB size. All pictures are from my digicam and must be rotated.
It needs 15 seconds with your testversion.
After pictures were rotated I put them to nconvert again and it took 15 seconds again ...

aspect ratio is not kept with relative resizing

Hello

There is a mysterious behaviour of XnView 1.91.1.

If I resize JPGs with the dimensions 4112x5984x24 to 50% it makes the pictures 2400x3000 pixel. The checkbox "keep aspect ratio" is checked.

Resizing of smaller pictures works well.

If I enter one deminsion instead of the percentage field ...

resize or user kills EXIF data

Hello

when I resize pictures from my digi cam the EXIF data seems to be touched more then necessary.

I think "-resize" changes the EXIF info for the orientation so that I cannot rotate pictures after I have resized them.

I'm using the following switches in two different batches, because I want ...

Thanks, it works.

But now I figure out that my problem is more difficulty.

I have pictures which are mostly 4000x3000 (landscape) and 3000x4000 (upright format). The target size should be 2000x1500 or 1500x2000 respectively.

So I think I have to use the resize faktor in percent. Can I tell ...

Hello

-q is OK for my understanding but I do not understand the funktion of -c.

I do not use -c at the moment and it works fine. Can I optimize resizing with -c?

suggestion: Speed up for rotating maybe possible

Hello

I often rotate my JPGs depending on EXIF data and i figure out that nconvert is not faster if it does not rotate a picture than the cases it rotates pictures.

Maybe nconvert does something that is not neccesary if it has not rotate a picture.
Pierre, maybe you can speed up nconvert for the ...

Change "save as"-directory

Hello

It often happens that I want to save a picture with another name in its own directory.

When I use "save as" function the actual directory is the last used directory.
This directory is rarely the directory I want to use.

Can I config XnView so that it automatically uses the directory where ...

more detailed documentation

Hello

Is there a more detailed documentation for nconvert anywere?

I want to resize some picture with nconvert in a batch but I do not find information about -c and -q.

It would be nice to see some examples with a short description.

resize depending on picture size

Hello

Is it possible to resize a picture (jpg) depending on its size?

I would like to resize pictures which are not smaller or equal than 2000x1500 pixel.

Can I test the picture size with nconvert?

Thanks
