Re: Unwanted file types shown in Viewer
No, if you activate this setting, you can continue to disable "Recognize only by extension" (in next 2.43)
OK Pierre, thank you, will test. What does the setting do? Also why do we need a setting to fix what has worked before (and stopped working recently)? I must be missing something.

Re: Unwanted file types shown in Viewer
Pierre,
I can reproduce it with PDF or EXE when Filter set to Custom. Is there any way I can help reproduce?

I can provide more samples if necessary. They are all taken by a cameraphone in vertical orientation.

Hello XnTriq,
Roman
Yes, I have. Does not help. Does it work for you?XnTriq wrote:BTW: Have you tried activating Create thumbnail from original image if embedded is smaller than thumbnail size (Tools → Options → Thumbnails → Appearance)?

Re: XnView does not provide correct thumbnail for image
Hi XnTriq,
Not sure if that's really the case, since if I rotate the image (Rotate based on EXIF value), the thumbnail is shown fine. However, if you are right and XnView cannot use the embedded thumbnail (for any reason), I'd suggest to provide a thumbnail from the image itself.

XnView does not provide correct thumbnail for image
Hi all,
I am using XnView to show JPG file thumbnails in Total Commander. However, this image's thumbnail is not shown correctly, it's just a grey pixel.
Windows 10
XnView 2.40
TC 9.0a x64
Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions appreciated.

XnTriq,
It is set to Custom. The files are not shown in the Browser, only in the Viewer / Fullscreen.

Unwanted file types shown in Viewer
Hi *.*,
For some reason it seems (after updating to 2.40 perhaps?) that in Viewer XnView is showing me file types I don't want it to show, like PDF's or icons in EXE files while browsing through a dir using Page Up / Down. Any ideas, please?
TIA

Re: EXIF Automatic Rotation icon not shown
Hi XnTriq,
Hmm, you're right, I had "Rotate image according to EXIF orientation tag" turned off. Did not think it would affect the small icon which I assumed would always indicate the presence of the EXIF rotation flag. Thank you, not a bug then I guess, I apologize.
