Settings - Formats (Saving Read Write tabs)
rework Formats group to enhance UI/UX
Suggestion
It is better to use list/table control rather than tabs for formats' settings.
So I made few mockups from simple to complex:
- mockup A (same as in XnView Classic)
- Saving tab - no changes
- Read Write tabs - format tabs changed to list
- mockup B
- Saving tab - minor changes
-- added Gear(or Wrench) icon to indicate that format has Options(settings)
- Read Write tabs - moved to Saving tab
- mockup C
- Saving tab - most changes
-- added Read column - just to show supported formats and separate Read/Write logic
-- added Write column - old Saving checkboxes
-- added Gear(or Wrench) icon to indicate that format has Options(settings)
-- added 'Show all graphic formats checkbox' from General > General tab
-- moved 'Show most used formats on top of formats list in 'Save as..' dialog' to General > File operations
-- (optional) added Filter
- Read Write tabs - moved to Saving tab
